What we keep, and
what we never take.

HireFromPH has accounts, a login and a database, because a shortlist cannot exist without them. This page says what goes into that database, what happens to a resume, what our payment provider sees, and what you can ask us to do about any of it.

We hold what the product needs to work, and we would rather list it than describe it.
Who runs this

An independent project, paid for by employers

HireFromPH is an independent project built for Filipino online professionals. Professionals pay nothing, ever. Employers pay to unlock a shortlist, which is where the money comes from — so there is no advertising business here and no reason to sell or share your data with anyone.

What we collect

An account, what you put in it, and aggregate analytics

Four things, listed plainly. Nothing else is gathered, and none of it is sold.

Your account

Creating one stores your name, email address and password (hashed, never readable). A login cookie keeps you signed in; it is set by us, it is not readable by page scripts, and it is not analytics. Professionals also store what they publish — headline, skills, rates, availability, equipment — and employers store their briefs. A profile photo, if you add one, goes straight from your browser to private storage and is served only through a link that expires in minutes; it is an identity, so it is withheld until you accept a match, exactly like your name. Anything you publish is visible to an employer only after you accept their match request.

Your resume, read but not kept

The file you drop on the resume page is opened and converted to text inside your browser. The file itself is never uploaded. The text is sent so we can read the fields out of it, you see what was found, and then the prose is discarded — what stays is the profile fields you chose to keep. Nothing you decline to apply is saved.

Payments go through PayPal

When an employer pays to unlock a shortlist or book an interview, PayPal takes the payment. Card and PayPal account details are entered on PayPal’s side and never reach us — we receive only an order reference, an amount and whether it succeeded, which is what we keep as your receipt. Candidates never pay, so no professional ever goes near this.

Google Analytics

It records anonymous, aggregate patterns: which pages get viewed, rough device type, and general region (usually just the country). It sets cookies to do this. We do not send it your name or your email, and we read it as totals rather than as individuals.

Two kinds, and you can switch one of them off

The sign-in cookie is what keeps you logged in; without it the site cannot tell it is you, so it has no off switch other than signing out. The analytics cookies are optional.

Press Decline on the notice at the bottom of the page and Analytics stops storing anything, on this visit and the next ones. The site works exactly the same. Changed your mind later? Clear this site’s cookies and the notice comes back. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s official opt-out add-on, which stops Analytics on every site you visit, not just this one.

The Data Privacy Act, applied honestly

The Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 gives you real rights over your personal data, the rights to access it, correct it, and object to its use. We hold personal data, so these apply to us directly.

Most of it you can exercise yourself from inside your account: your profile is editable, a match request can be declined, and a published profile can be paused so it stops being matched at all. For anything you cannot do from the account — a copy of what we hold, or deleting the account outright — ask from inside the account, which is the only place we can be sure the request is really you. For what Google holds through Analytics, you exercise those rights with Google directly.

Ask from inside your account.

There is no public contact address published yet, and we would rather say so than point you at an inbox nobody reads. If you have an account, a message sent from it reaches us and tells us who you are, which is what a data request needs. When a public channel exists, it will be published here. Until then, the line in the footer of every page is the whole commitment: “Free to preview. Pay once to unlock a shortlist. Candidates never pay, and nobody takes a cut of anyone's salary.”
