One market, done properly

Thirty countries badly, or one country well.

Every marketplace claims global reach. Reach is easy; accountability is not. We can tell you what a Philippine mid-level rate should be, which hours actually overlap with yours, and what happens when somebody misrepresents their experience — because it is the only market we work in.

The first question

Will they be awake when you are?

Overlap is part of the brief rather than something you discover in week two. Here is the honest version, including where it is genuinely inconvenient.

Australia — Sydney

Two to three hours ahead of Manila

Effectively a shared working day

United Kingdom — London

Manila is seven to eight hours ahead

A comfortable morning overlap either side

United States — East

Manila is twelve to thirteen hours ahead

Early-morning or evening overlap, or a shifted schedule

United States — West

Manila is fifteen to sixteen hours ahead

Usually a night shift, and priced accordingly

Night shifts are not free

A US West Coast role usually means somebody works through their night. That is workable and commonly done, and it should be reflected in the rate rather than treated as a rounding error. Set the overlap you need in the brief and the matching accounts for it.
What depth buys

Specific answers instead of a bigger database.

English is a working language

It is a medium of instruction through school and university and the default language of Philippine business — not a second language learned for export.

Pay bands are published

Twenty-two specialisms with rate ranges on this site. A quote is a position on a scale you can check, not a number somebody invented.

One conduct standard

Everybody works to the same published code on honesty about experience — and it is written down where you can read it.

Where the candidates come from

Nobody here is a scraped profile.

Every profile is published deliberately by the person it describes, priced with one standing rate, and frozen the moment they accept your brief. Nothing is harvested, and nothing is listed for browsing.

  • Published, not scraped

A profile exists because somebody chose to publish it. There is no imported directory behind this.

  • One standing rate

Priced once, with visible history and a cooldown. The number you are quoted is the number everybody sees.

  • One conduct standard

A published code covering honesty about experience, and what happens when somebody breaks it.

Where this is the wrong tool.

A sourcing engine that never says no is a sales page. Three cases where you should use something else:

You need somebody on-site

Everything here is remote. There is no local placement arm and we will not pretend otherwise.

You need a start tomorrow

Candidates consent before appearing, so a slate fills over hours rather than instantly. If you need a body today, an agency bench is faster.

You want to interview forty people

The whole design narrows to a handful worth meeting. If breadth of choice is the point, a job board serves you better.

Write the brief. Look at the slate. Decide then.

Previewing costs nothing and takes about ten minutes. If the people we put in front of you are not worth unlocking, you have lost an afternoon of nothing.
